Let’s Debate!
With another presidential primary debate tonight, we have one question in mind: Where do candidates stand on tort reform?
In today’s economic environment, job creation is a huge priority across the board, and we can’t think of a better way to do that than creating a fair, efficient legal environment. This idea is growing in popularity in states across the nation, such as Indiana, where malpractice reform decreased health care costs. Additionally, today’s New York Times featured a letter to the editor which stated that “the number of doctors in Texas in on an upward trend since the passage of malpractice litigation reforms.”
We’ve seen some discussion of tort reform in campaigns, but let’s hear where all the candidates stand on tort reform—on both sides of the table.
Tonight’s debate in Tampa, FL will be aired on CNN at 8PM EDT, but the discussion on tort reform needs to continue after the questions are over and the lights are turned off. It’s time to bring a better job-creating environment back to the US, and that means it’s time to start discussing tort reform.
