Friends of PLA in the News
Friends of Project Lawsuit Abuse have been making their way into their local news recently:
• An op-ed by David Houston, Chairman of California Citizens Against Lawsuit Abuse, was featured in the Los Angeles Business Journal today. Houston writes about the drastic impact abusive litigation has had on California’s public schools, saying “Our schools are now compelled to defend themselves against lawsuits for enforcing dress codes, cutting a student from an athletic team or punishing a student caught cheating.”
• A letter to the editor by Melissa Landry, Project Lawsuit Abuse contributor and executive director of Louisiana Lawsuit Abuse Watch, was published by the Thibodeaux Daily Comet. In regards to upcoming judicial elections, Landry writes, “These elections are often decided by thin margins, sometimes 100 votes or less. So don’t let someone else speak for you on election day.”
