Remember that Good Judges Matter on November 2
You’d have to be living under a rock not to know that a week from tomorrow is a big day. While congressional and gubernatorial races are grabbing headlines, we shouldn't forget about the judicial races. Travis Akin, Executive Director of Illinois Lawsuit Abuse Watch and friend of Project Lawsuit Abuse, has been taking the message that “Good Judges Matter” across the state of Illinois. In a recent letter to the editor that appeared on Quad-Cities Online, the website for the Moline Dispatch and the Rock Island Argus, Akin wrote, “Electing good judges is essential to restoring fairness and common sense to our courts. The foundation of a properly functioning system of justice begins with the outcome of judicial elections, which is why we as citizens need to pay attention to the individuals we elect to serve on the bench.”
So before you fill out your ballots next Tuesday, make sure you put enough thought into the judicial races, too. Judges make decisions that affect your day to day life – so make sure you know who you’re voting for, because good judges really do matter.
